To support families from Digby to Windsor areas providing resources, referrals, and linkages to other NCNS programs and community-based organizations.
What We Do
The Aboriginal Family Outreach Worker provides Aboriginal children, youth and their families throughout the Windsor to Digby areas of Nova Scotia with resources, tools, programs, and services that support a healthy development to help off-reserve families reach their full potential.
What We Provide
The Aboriginal Family Outreach Worker will provide, develop, and secure supportive programs for off-reserve Aboriginal:
- Children
- Youth
- Parents
- Expecting Parents
- Elders
The Aboriginal Family Outreach Worker will also provide communications and coordination to meet the goals of the Aboriginal Family Resource Program by offering:
- Links to NCNS programs
- Links to Social programs
- Establish Parent/Family groups
- Offering Drop-In
- Referrals and Linkage
- Offering Culture Workshops and content
